8 Must-have Elements of a Great About Us Page Example
The critical aspects of a drop-dead gorgeous About Us Page may vary on its category and the purpose you would like to put your focus on. However, the overall output of a good About Us page needs to be transparent, catchy, easily accessible, and customer-driving.
If you are designing or planning to revamp it, here are the few key building blocks you should better implement to your About Us page-
Reveal Your Company's Story
Every business has its own story of origin. Whether you are building an about us page for a photography service website, a real estate business website, or a website for your portfolio, you have a story to tell.
Handy hint: If you are a startup, you can add a hook at the very start by telling how this business was born, what obstacles you have overcome, and what your milestone was.
Introduce Your Team
An about us page of a website helps your visitors move forward on your company's fact-finding mission. You can turn a visitor into your client from this page by building trust and credibility.
Therefore, let them rely on your expertise by showcasing the people behind your brand. So, introduce your team, and share their skills and backgrounds.
What are You Offering – and For Whom
Most people will find it more believable if they feel they are the person you have been serving for. Be bold about mentioning what product or services you are offering so that strangers can determine whether their prospect aligns with your company's competence.
Your Mission
Well, I am not telling you to write something like— 'Our mission is to … after 5 years.' It is not going to work like that!!
But, you need to be a bit more transparent to your visitor. ‘Why are you here today?’ ‘What is your goal so that you can serve them best?’ ‘Why are you unique from the others in the market?’ answer these questions on your about page.
Trust me. It will engage more people than before.
Case Studies or Previous User Reviews
Inputting case studies and user reviews into your About Us page can influence potential clients to change their purchasing decisions. Some words (Reviews or Testimonials) of your previous best customers will also help your visitor visualize their upcoming prosperity from you or your business.
Social Media Links
Social media link helps to spread the reachability of you, your content, and your brand. Social media profile linking helps you improve link building and search relevance since search engines are getting wiser at providing quality search results.
Handy hint: Add your Product Hunt profile link if you are a kind-of-a-business that releases products online. Hook with sites like- Trust Radius and G2 Crowd that will help your visitors get the sources for reviews and comparison.
Location Details and Contact Information
If you heritage any physical store, sharing your business's location will help you gain their trust. Apart from just about ‘TRUST,’ adding a location on your about us page will help Google search engine crawlers index your site and show it when someone searches for the nearest service provider. Thus, you gain more visitors and customers from local search results than before.
Now as your target customers know about your business details, you need to allow them with some information to contact you. That is where your contact details come forth.
Put the ladder for influenced customers so that you can push them quickly from the middle of the funnel to the bottom of the funnel.
Customer Driving Call-to-actions (CTAs)
A call-to-action (CTA) is an essential component of the About Us Page of your website. CTAs help you increase customers' encouragement, provide them the direction of where to go or what to do, assist you in getting more leads, and increase your client conversion rate.
CTAs or call-to-actions can be the Subscription button of your About us page, the social media profile link you provide, or the form you ask them to submit.
Now as you have learned what essential spices you need to flavor up your 'About Us page,' you can now look for some About Us examples.

How To Add an About Us Page on Your Website with Dorik?
For this part, I expect you have already tried building a website on Dorik and wish to add an About Us page. So let's begin the part about how you can add and then link it-
So, I am selecting Dorik's Aroka Agency Template for this demo as there is no pre-added About Us page on this template.
Step-01: Add an About Us page
-
Now, to add your new About page, click on the 'Pages' icon in the left corner of your page. An onsite editor will open.
-
Click on '+Add New Page.' And a blank page will be created for you. Now, you can design your about us page templates here. I am skipping this part of the about us page design as we focus on adding one on Dorik, the no-code web builder.
-
Fill the ‘Page Name’ with the name you want to give your new page. Here I am giving the name ‘About Us.’
-
And then, we have to create a slug for this page, which we will use later to link this new page with our website. So, I kept the slug as ‘about-us.’
-
Click on ‘Homepage’ to go back to the homepage’s editor of your site.
Step-02: Link the About Us Page to Your Website’s Homepage.
Now, it's time to link your newly created about page with your website. For this, I prefer adding this page to the navigation menu.
-
Click ‘Edit Element’ or just somewhere in the navigation bar. A new editing panel will be open from the right of your screen.
-
Click on ‘Links.’
-
Click on the '+Add New' button.
-
A new item for the navigation bar will be created. Now, click on the arrow icon of the newly added item.
-
Name this item's name on 'Link Text.'
-
Now, set the Link type to ‘Page.’
-
Choose with which page you are willing to add this menu item’s link. As we are adding a newly created ‘About Us Page’ with it, we will select ‘About Us.’
We are done with this part now. It’s time to add the slug with HTML Selectors. Go to the ‘Advanced’ part of your sidebar editor (1) For this.
Click on ‘HTML SELECTORS’ (2).
Paste the slug on ‘HTML ID’ (3).
Lastly, Hit the ‘Publish’ button, and we are ready to go live!!
Besides, You can watch this video on creating and adding multi pages on your website.
