Guest Blogging Guidelines

Thank you for being so interested in guest blogging for Dorik! We welcome guest contributions from writers who can provide valuable and relevant content to our audience and adheres to ethical standards.

As we emphasize quality over quantity, we’ll not publish content below the average standard. To maintain the standard and consistency of our blog, we have outlined the following guidelines for a smooth and mutually beneficial guest blogging experience. Please read the following guidelines before submitting your guest blog post:

Content Guidelines

  • Originality: We only accept unique, original content that has not been published elsewhere.
  • Relevance: The content should be relevant to our website's audience, which primarily consists of our main blogging categories.
  • Value: Your article should provide valuable insights, actionable tips, or thought-provoking ideas for our readers.
  • Length: Aim for a minimum of 1500 words to provide sufficient depth and detail on the topic. Long-form articles between 2,000 and 2,500 words are highly appreciated, as they offer comprehensive coverage. 
  • SEO Optimized: Your articles must be SEO optimized.

Writing Style

  • Language: Write in clear, concise, and grammatically correct English. Try to write as simple as possible. 
  • Voice: Use an informative and authoritative voice, but also engage the reader by being conversational.

Formatting Guidelines

  • Always write an introduction and a conclusion.
  • Create H2s, H3s, and H4s to organize your content.
  • Keep your paragraphs short and as simple as possible. Write no more than 3 sentences in a single paragraph. You can bold important texts and phrases also. 
  • first-person pronouns. For example, 1) We found this tool the most usable in our tests. 2) Here’s where I made a mistake in my blog post.
  • Add bulleted lists whenever possible.
  • Use numbered lists to enhance readability.
  • Include quotes and tables to make your content more engaging. 
  • Use contractions. Example: instead of ‘they are’, write ‘they’re’. 
  • Add tips, statistics, or other interesting facts in the text.
  • You should write a meta description of your blog. Length - up to 120 characters.

Linking Guidelines

  • You are allowed to include a brief author bio at the end of the article, which can contain one link to your website. If you want that link to be do-follow, you must have a 50 or over 50 domain rating, according to Ahrefs. You also must add your LinkedIn profile.
  • Or, if you prefer having a do-follow link on the blog body, your website’s Domain Rating must be over 60 and relevant. In this regard, we prefer backlink exchange.

  • We only allow 1 do-follow link per guest post. It will be either in author bio or content body. Please confirm it to the editor. You can send an email to partnership@dorik.com for more information.
  • Remeber: Any links within the article's main body should be relevant, non-promotional, and provide additional value to the readers. You should avoid linking to a content or keyword that create competition with us.
  • Avoid excessive linking or using affiliate links.
  • We have rights to remove your links in the body content without giving you any reasons. (If this is not a partnership or any exchange collaboration)

Content Exchange or Link Exchange Collaboration

Images and Media

  • Include relevant, high-quality images, charts, or infographics to enhance the visual appeal of your article. Please share it in a google drive.
  • Ensure you have the rights or permission to use the media you include. 
  • Upload all the relevant images to Google Drive and share the folder with us. 
  • Cite the image source as: “Image source” and hyperlink that text with the page you found the image on.

Copyright and Plagiarism

  • Ensure the submitted content is original and does not violate copyright laws.
  • Plagiarism of any form will not be tolerated, and submissions will be rejected immediately.

Editing and Review Process of the Article

  • Our editorial team will review your submission for quality, relevance, and adherence to the guidelines.
  • We reserve the right to edit the content for clarity, grammar, and formatting while maintaining the original intent.
  • We may also suggest changes or request revisions before publishing your article.

What We Won't Accept

  • AI written content. 
  • Contents and topics that have already been published on our website. We request you to search our site before submitting your articles.
  • Content that’s excessively promotional.
  • Duplicated content.
  • Offensive and aggressive content.

Submission Instructions

  • Send your outline as a Google Doc.
  • Include a brief author bio (approximately 50-100 words) at the end of the document. Please also add your social media profiles and links to your previous best work.
  • Without an Author bio, the outline would not be approved.
  • We won't accept your author bio without your LinkedIn profile link. We need to verify you are a real author. If the verification fails, you will not publish your content.
  • Please allow 7-15 business days for our team to review your submission. If you haven't heard back from us after 15 days, this means your outline is not approved.
  • If your outline is approved, we will reach out to your email and tell you to submit your blog.
  • Submit this form to send us the outline.
